Downtown Beirut
Bilal El Dana
Office
A private office in Downtown Beirut for Bilal El Dana — doors, wall cladding, desks and integrated wall units built as one composition across the reception and private offices.
Scope
The Brief
Bilal El Dana needed a Downtown Beirut office finished to a private-residence standard — doors, cladding, desks and storage all built as joinery rather than furnished separately.
Our Approach
We fabricated and installed the doors, wall cladding, desks and integrated wall units across the reception and private offices — fluted timber panelling, a sculptural executive desk paired with a backlit wall unit, and glazed doors finished to match the rest of the joinery.
In Detail
Doors, desks
and wall units.
Two rooms, one standard
The reception runs in a softer, more classical register — glazed doors in a traditional grid, pale panelled walls — while the private offices switch to a darker, more contemporary language of fluted panelling and dark lacquer. Both had to be built to the same standard of joinery, even though they read as two different rooms; that consistency is what makes the space feel considered rather than assembled from whatever each room needed.
A sculptural desk and a backlit wall unit
The executive desk is a single sculptural form rather than a standard rectangle on legs, paired with a full-height wall unit with backlit, mirror-lined shelving built into the panelling behind it. Getting a desk this shaped to sit flush and true, and getting the backlighting even across every shelf, is furniture-grade joinery rather than a fit-out afterthought.
Doors and cladding, matched throughout
Doors were built to match the panelling they sit in rather than supplied as a separate item, so each room reads as one continuous surface with an opening in it. See office and commercial fit-out and wooden doors.
