Mohammad Sakr ("we", "us") is a bespoke joinery workshop based in Beirut, Lebanon. This page explains, in plain terms, what information this website collects and how we use it. We keep it short because we collect little. We handle personal data in line with Lebanese Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data. This website is hosted on Hostinger, whose servers keep standard technical logs (such as visitors' IP addresses) in order to serve the site.
What we collect
- Information you send us. When you submit the contact form, or reach us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we receive the details you choose to share — typically your name, email, phone number and a description of your project. Providing anything beyond name, email and project details is optional. Messages you send over WhatsApp are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
- Usage & marketing data. We use Google Tag Manager to load analytics and marketing tools — currently Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel. These record anonymous, aggregated information about how the site is used — pages viewed, device and browser, rough location, and whether a visit came from one of our ads — and set cookies to do so. They are operated by Google and Meta under their own privacy policies (Google, Meta). We use this to understand our audience and measure our advertising; we do not sell your data.
How the contact form works
The form is submitted to Formspree, a US-based form-delivery service. Formspree receives your submission, stores a copy on its own servers under its privacy policy, and forwards it to our email inbox — so your message is processed outside Lebanon. We keep it in our email records so we can respond and hold a project history. A draft of what you type may be saved in your own browser so you don't lose it if the page reloads — it never leaves your device, and is cleared when the form is sent.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
- To keep records of a project we're working on together.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not sell or rent them to anyone.
Cookies & tracking
This site uses cookies from Google (Google Analytics, loaded via Google Tag Manager) and Meta (the Facebook/Instagram pixel) to measure traffic and the performance of our advertising, as described above. Our contact page also embeds a map from Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads. You can block or clear these cookies in your browser at any time — the site still works without them. Your browser's local storage is used only for the temporary form draft described above.
How long we keep it
We keep project correspondence for the life of the project and our 2-year workmanship warranty, and typically no longer than three years after completion — unless we need it for a live dispute, or you ask us to delete it sooner. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email mohammad@mohammadsakr.com and we'll take care of it.
