Full home joinery, three times over

Each of the three residences received a complete joinery package rather than a single feature piece — kitchens, salon wall units, bedrooms and fitted closets. Taking a whole home as one package removes the seam that usually shows when different rooms are bought from different suppliers at different times: one veneer batch, one finish sample, one set of shadow gaps and reveals, one team on site. The apartment then reads as a designed whole rather than a collection of good individual pieces.

Kitchens and salon wall units

The kitchen and the salon unit are the two pieces of joinery a home is judged on, and they usually face each other in an open-plan layout — so any difference in tone between them is immediately visible. Building both together, from the same material, is the only reliable way to make them agree. Bedrooms and closets

Bedroom joinery was built into each residence — fitted wardrobes and closets set to the actual ceiling height and scribed to the walls, with the internal layout set to what the owners keep rather than a catalogue default. More on wardrobes and walk-in closets. The shared lobby was delivered to the same standard, which matters more than people expect: it is the first thing every resident and visitor sees.
